Everyone is welcome. Oak Grove Community Rides is operated by Perkins for Oak Grove. Transportation is available regardless of political affiliation, candidate preference, or whether you ultimately choose to vote. We will never ask who you support or how you plan to vote.

Request your ride early

Rides are limited and handled on a first-come, first-served basis. The earlier you submit your request, the better the chance that transportation can be coordinated. Submitting a request does not guarantee a ride.

Transportation only

We provide transportation only. Any fee for a driver’s license, state ID, replacement ID, renewal, document, or other government service is entirely your responsibility and will not be paid by this service.

What you need to vote

These requirements and dates come from the Kentucky State Board of Elections and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

Who can register

You must be a U.S. citizen, a Kentucky resident for at least 28 days before the election, and at least 18 by the next General Election. You cannot claim voting rights outside Kentucky. If you were convicted of a felony, your voting rights must have been restored. You also cannot have voting rights removed after being judged mentally incompetent by a court.

2026 registration deadline

For the November 3, 2026 General Election, register or update your registration online by 4:00 p.m. local time on October 5, 2026. Mailed applications may be postmarked October 5. In-person applications are due to the County Clerk by close of business.

Identification at the polls

Bring an ID showing your name and photo issued by the United States, Kentucky, the military, a U.S. college, or a Kentucky local government. A no-cost Kentucky voter ID is available at Driver Licensing Regional Offices to eligible voters who are registered or register when it is issued and do not hold another state-issued credential.

Keep your registration current

Update your voter registration after changing your name, home address, or mailing address. You can register, update your information, check your status, and find your polling place at GoVoteKY.

If a reasonable impediment prevented you from obtaining an accepted photo ID, Kentucky provides an affirmation process using Form SBE 71 and an accepted alternate document. Poll workers determine which process applies. Review Kentucky’s official photo ID requirements before Election Day or contact the County Clerk for assistance.
